24/11/2008 One day last week while sitting with the LORD, and addressing him about some things I have been facing and trying to overcome, and find answers for, I sensed he told me to read 1Cor.12, well you cannot just read 12 and not continue into 13, the whole book of Corinthians is a letter, so there are no breaks or chapters in it. And as usual I had the attitude as many of us do, “Oh I know what that is it is the love chapter” What could I possibly learn from that that I do not already know”. Well, what I have learned with the LORD is that He knows better than I do, and sees what it is I am lacking in, and what can bring about answers into my life. So right away I said LORD where do I not love? Who do I not love? Show me my heart? You know if we have that attitude before Him, where we let Him have full control over our heart, life can go a bit more smoother, I mean after all He does know us better than we know ourselves. Sometimes it may hurt, as He reveals things to us but hey, in the end it brings about change and that is what being a disciple of Christ is all about, if you are on the same track not going any where, facing the same giants the same problems then we need to be honest with ourselves and rise up and see our heart for what it is and take two steps forward and he will help us with the rest. Amen?
So as I asked Him the questions, right then a flash of someone’s face that had been a part of my life for over 2o years, came up before me. I knew exactly what he was showing me, where I had lacked in loving this woman as she was an elderly woman, and there were times throughout my inter action with her that she inconvenience me, without getting into a lot of detail I was convicted needless to say, so I repented, I corrected the problem that very next day as I knew where it was that I had come short, now it will not be a one time thing, but love is longsuffering and it is patient and it is forbearing, sometimes we conveniently put things aside that may disrupt our lives or rattle them, all in the name of God, and come up with excuses why we do not need to be in the company of some Christian brothers or sisters, Am I making any sense? So as I studied out the two chapters I came across some meat, some of you may already be walking in the understanding of this but I would like to share what the LORD showed me, and it was for me, but most of what he shows me I try to always first apply it to my live, like the old saying if the “shoe fits wear it!” First we will start in 1 Cor. 12, now in my bible the word gifts is in italics, that means man has placed that word there, so , if you remove that it says it a bit different, 1Corinthians 12 Now concerning spiritual gifts brethren, I would not have you ignorant. You have to read the previous chapters as the letter continues on ,so you have to see what Paul was dealing with, previously he was dealing with a lot of baby Christians who were having contention , who were fornicating and some were puffed up with pride, it sounded like there was a whole of flesh in this church!! (Please read the previous 11 chapters)Paul was addressing all people in the church, and it sounded like there was some confusion with the gifts regarding pride and position. So after chapter 11 he goes on to say: Now concerning, concerning what? Not spiritual gifts, but concerning spiritual brethren, He is now addressing the spiritual ones who were probably operating in the gifts and maybe were getting a bit to controlling and puffed up, just as we see in the church today, we have had ministry and we have had the gifts in operation, but there is a more excellent way. Just as Paul finishes his sentence, and what looks to go on to chapter 13.Lets look at the first verse again: WHAT IS SPIRITUAL BRETHREN?

Being spiritual is not having a ministry and being a part of this organization or that organization, like I follow Copeland or I follow Joyce Myers (not putting these ministers down, I am just using these names as an example, hear my heart) That is exactly what they were doing in the Corinthian church! There is a sense of pride that comes into mans heart when they are following a well-know ministry, or a well know person. We are called to follow Christ and to love! You can know ALL truth about a walk of faith. Or A walk that is full of truth, but if you cannot come along side your fellow sister and brother while they are in pain and suffering, YOU HAVE NOT LOVED THE WAY JESUS LOVED!! Love is longsuffering and patience, it is bearing one another’s burdens when the person who is under a load of misery cannot go on! It was for love that God sent his Son! Where would we be if God did not send His Son for us? Not everyone overcomes on the same level! Let me at this point say this, if you have been saved for a long time and consider yourselves to have come to a place of being “spiritual” but all you are doing is sitting and warming your derrière on your comfortable padded pew and filling your already full belly, but you are not reaching out and asking God who needs ministry, who needs healing, who needs encouragement, who, God, is spiritually dying right around me?!!!!! Then you are blinded! My dear brothers and sisters, being spiritual (spiritual minded) having the very breathe of God flowing through you is, to set others free, to bring a word in season through LOVE, L-O-V-E. So that they may rise up out of their misery and continue to go on. As we have read the portion many times I am sure, though I speak with tongues, but have not love I am a sounding brass!! What good are we if move in our gifts and can preach up a storm and bring the house down, but our brother or sister is lying by the roadside in a load of misery and we just say , “brother rise up do you not know the word? Do you not know that you are an over comer? The truth is, they may not know that just yet, but it is our job as brothers and sisters to come a long side of them and hold up their arms till they are strengthened!!! Do we really understand how many wounded Christians there are sitting right in the padded pews! But because we are so focused on having our ego petted we are more concerned with rising up in our calling(which most of the time has been man ordained) and gifts, and what we can get from God to bless us more, but forgetting the more excellent way. Or there are those Christians who may not bother with other Christians and just be content to stay by themselves, because it is easier to do that, then to have to share their problems or carry some else’s. Gal 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
1Co 14:37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
1Co 14:12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
1Co 3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 1Co 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
If we claim to be spiritual than we should walk in a manner that is worthy of this.
So if we are spiritual than we should not be ignorant
Ignorant-50-not to know (through lack of information or intelligence) by implying to ignore, comes from a word “to exercise the mind” (observe) to comprehend, to heed, and to consider. to discern
This is now to those who are reading, that claim to be spiritual, you are not ignorant, you do not lack the knowledge, nor can you not exercise your mind, you have the capacity to comprehend, to consider, and to discern. RIGHT? Then if we do not love the way the Lord wants us to love we are conveniently being ignorant when it is in our power to make the right choice! Paul was saying spiritual brothers and sister how much word have you had? How much revelation have you had? How long have you been saved? Isn’t it time to move on to a more excellent way? I do not believe that the LORD is so concerned about our ministries and how much we do; opposed to, have we met our brother’s needs. If we were really honest with ourselves we would see our hearts for what they are, would we rather take back seat and minister quietly to a brother, than be in the front seat and say look at what I can do? We are not ignoring the gifts, but what good are they if there is no love? What good are they if pride is operation? We are a many member body, we cannot function one without the other, even if the one member is marred ,we need it, we need to heal it, we need to nourish it and strength it back to wholeness.
So Paul ends his sentence with, but covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet I show unto you a more excellent way .vs. 31, what do you think the best gifts are? Well if we read on in the letter we will see Paul goes on to say that though you have all the gifts in operation but have not love they are useless, does it mean you forsake the gifts? Not at all. It says in verse 13 and now abideth faith hope charity, these three, but the greatest of these is love. Love is always the greatest. Because the letter continues in 14 and says follow after love desire spiritual but rather that you prophesy, why? Because to prophesy in love brings edification, exhortation and comfort (just the meaning of those words is another study within its self) 1Co 14:5 says, I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. 1Co 14:12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church. 1Co 14:24 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: 1Co 14:25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. 1Co 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. The stronger or noblest gifts are love and prophecy. WHAT IS THE EXCELLENT WAY? It denotes opposition, a throwing beyond others, far more exceeding, Excellency, out of measure, to surpass, excel; sudden motion, to disperse, to deposit. And frequently signifies opposition, distribution or intensity. Way- progress, a mode or means, journey
Way- progress, a mode or means, journey This excellent way is a walk in life that puts us in a place of surpassing all that we think or feel it is laying down our lives for each other. Joh 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. Joh 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. The world will not know we are His disciples because we have a lot of material goods, or because we good looking! It is by our love for one another, why do you think people get caught up in cults? They are looking to be loved and feel love! Love is the more excellent way!

The word love is agape- to love, to breath after, indicates a direction of the will and finding one’s joy in something. Contrast to Philleo (5368) to be contented with denoting common interest, hence befriending. agape is used of Gods love toward man and vica versa. Agape- love, translated charity meaning benevolent love, its benevolence, however is not shown by doing what the person loved desires, but what the one who loves deems as needed by the one loved (eg. …for God so loved the world…that he gave)He gave not what man wanted but what man needed as God perceived his need. Gods love for man is His doing what he thinks best for man and not what man desires. It is Gods wilful direction toward man. But for man to show love to God, he must first appropriate Gods agape, for only God has such an unselfish love.

Col 3:12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Col 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. Col 3:14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfect ness. So we are talking about a more excellent way

Bond- a joint, a tie, a ligament, fig. a uniting principal, shackle,(of a prisoner) denoting union, by association, companionship.
Perfect ness- completeness(mentally and morally), character, of full age, prim word- to set out for a definite point or goal, uttermost, the point aimed at as a limit.
LOVE IS THE TIE THE LIGAMENT TO MATURITY, TO MENTAL AND MORAL CHARACTER. It is having the “God love’
So if we are spiritual (spiritually minded, not carnal, not babes in Christ any longer)
Then we are required to love the brethren and walk worthy of our call
Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Again His love is matured or perfected in us when we love one another 1John 4:12
We are called to prefer one another Romans 12:10 1. To choose or be in the habit of choosing as more desirable or as having more value: prefers coffee to tea. 2. Law a. To give priority or precedence to (a creditor). b. To file, prosecute, or offer for consideration or resolution before a magistrate, court, or other legal authority: preferred the suit in a higher court. 3. Archaic To recommend for advancement or appointment; promote.
We fulfill the law when we love one another Romans 13:8 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
We love by serving one another Gal.5:13. to serve is , a slave, through subjection, to bind , be in bonds , knit together Being knit together with a brother is going through their pain standing with them ,till they are free! . We are to provoke each other unto this love and good works Heb.10:24
This must be our heart! 1Pe 3:8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: 1Pe 3:9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. 1Jn 3:11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
1Jn 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
SO AGAIN YOU WHO ARE SPIRITUAL, ARE: MATURE. THEREFORE YOU ARE STRONG

Strong- firm, capable, possible mighty, comes from the word dunami, to be able, or possible, be of power, this where we get our word dunimis from.
Rom 15:1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. (IT IS NOT ABOUT US BUT ABOUT OUR BROTHER) Bear-through the idea of removal, to lift, literally, to endure sustain,(to walk) ******YOU THAT ARE ABLE OUGHT TO ENDURE, SUSTAIN THOSE WHO ARE WEIGHED DOWN WITH INFIRMITIES!!****** ARE YOU STRONG? ARE YOU SPIRITUAL?
Rom 15:2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. Rom 15:3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
THERE IS A REAPING IN LOVING AND DOING GOOD
Gal 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Gal 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
AND AGAIN WHAT DOES COL. For those of you, who know me, know that I love the prophetic, my heart rejoices when there is a word of exhortation and comfort and revealing that comes forth into someone’s life, and brings hope and change. I had a conversation the other day with a dear sister and she was sharing with me how she had a word for another sister so she called this sister up and said “the LORD says he will bless you with long life” she was obedient to give that word and because of her love for this sister she was obedient. She did not know that the sister receiving the word had just been to the doctors and the report was she had cancer! I had goose bumps all over, I love the prophetic, and it brings hope and life. What if she was not obedient to give the word? Maybe all this sister has to stand on is this word,(I know she has the bible) but what if nobody spoke life into her situation and she was left to stand alone? You think she does not stand before God and say “Lord you said I would have long life” When the gift of the prophetic is in operation the bible says in verse25 of 1 Cor.14 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest and so falling down on his face he will worship God and report that God is in you of a truth. We can have all the gifts and the greatest ministry but without love and the heart to stand by our brother and sister we are nothing! Your ministry is nothing, your calling is nothing, the ultimate gift, is L_O_V_E, if that is all we ever had it would be enough. After all it was for L_O_V_E that Christ died for us how about we lay our lives down for each other, and let the gifts through love flow to bring healing and comfort. Father I thank-you for those who have taken the time to read this, and right now Father in Jesus Name I ask that you would bless and expand each of my brothers and sister, expand their thinking and shake all that needs to be shaken in their lives, so that the best gift can come forth in a greater capacity so that the world will know our love for one another. Monday morning of last week I awoke with the word Canaanites on my heart, I have come to recognize when the LORD speaks to me, or tries to get my attention. I did not do much with it at that time, other than tried to figure out in my head who exactly they were. The following night (Tuesday) I was sleeping, I was awoken out of a dead sleep , wide awake, and this reverential fear came over me, it was not a scary feeling ,like the devil was visiting me or something, but it was a feeling of I better listen. Upon awakening, I heard a voice (not audible) say “pray against the spirit of Molech” I then looked at the time and it was 1:11 in the night. I laid there thinking what did that mean?
The next morning I could not wait to get before the LORD and see what it was he was saying, I wondered if the time was significant, so as silly as this may sound I started to see if it could be a scripture, so I started in Genesis and went through a few books of the Bible, to see if I could come across anything. To no avail, I found nothing, and then I prayed and said “LORD if you want me to see something here, than Holy Spirit you help me”. Right then I sensed to go to 1Kings 11.I sure love it when the LORD speaks in ways that just blows our minds into His realm, or His way of getting things across! I am going to address this study in the way he spoke it me, Canaanites being the first thing he said. This led me again on a study that opened the heart of my loving heavenly Father, and His concerns for His church!
First, who were the Canaanites? Well, let us do a brief history run down. (by the way they were the ones who invented the chariot,)The sons of Noah were Shem Ham and Japheth. The sons of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim and Canaan; it is from Ham that the Canaanites were here. And naturally from the Canaan came the Canaanite clans.Gen 10:15. Canaan is symbolic of “inheritance gained by warfare” It was the “promised land” that the children of Israel were journeying to. It was a land that was promised by God, God spoke to Moses, to tell the children of Israel NOT to partake of the doings that they do in the land. Lev 18:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Lev 18:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the LORD your God. Lev 18:3 After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances. Lev 18:4 Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God. Lev 18:5 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.
We also see in Deut. Chapter 7 (read the whole chapter) that in verse 1 Deu 7:1 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou; That’s encouraging isn’t it? Here they were going into a promised land, which was flowing with milk and honey, but the people in it were greater and mightier than them, God always wants to fight on our behalf. Deu 7:2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them: There was a catch though; they were required to not take part in any of the practices of the inhabitants of the land! That’s pretty simple. OBEY!!!! It is because of his covenant that he was so faithful to children of Israel, God always keeps his word. The LORD required obedience, when you deal with them utterly destroys them, for you are a holy people called of God. Deu 7:5 But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire. Deu 7:6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. We are no different than the children of Israel; we are a holy people and a peculiar people a people who will show forth his character. Our promised land is gained through warfare; we must stand on all His promises and tear down every idol within our hearts to walk in the blessings! We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers in high places Eph 6:12.There is warfare but it has been won for us Glory to God!! He has won the battle, we just need to stand, and when we have done all to stand we stand even more!
Please read chapters 8&9 of Deut. also, it will speak for itself. Let’s go back to meaning of Canaan, “symbol of inheritance gained by warfare” If Canaan was there Promised Land what is ours? I think our inheritance is in heaven, it is eternal life. It is our allotted portion of what belongs to us through the death and resurrection of Christ! Here are just a few scriptures, Acts 7; Acts 26:18; Eph.5:5; Heb.9:15; 11:8; 1 Peter 1:4 Again the Old Testament is a type and shadow of the new, so just as the children of Israel had to be obedient to the law of God we to have a walk to walk that entails much wrestling, I know we do not focus on devils and demons, nor are we to live by the letter of the law but it is now inscribed on our heart .Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. We know who we are in the kingdom of God and we declare and take a stand as a holy priesthood should, and live our lives in righteousness, not ours but His!! There are many enemies that come against us, do we partake of them or do we resist them and destroy their sacred altars in our hearts! When we go against the standard of God, His Law, we are raising up altars of idolatry. It is no different today the same requirements of how they were to live their lives are the same for us today. Love the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, AND HAVE NO OTHER gods BEFORE HIM!!! Deu 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Mar 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: Mar 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Can you say you love Him enough to be willing to tear down every idol every way that is opposite of His way? I believe the reason the LORD showed this to me is because He sees the condition that His church is in, there is a lot of idolatry in the house of the LORD! She has erected gods that are not pleasing to His law and His ways, and it is time that judgement begins in the House of the LORD 1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? So the Israelites were going into a land that was full of all these enemies, not only were they with these people but they were in amongst the idols that they worshipped. The one god was Molech, Molech was the National deity of the Ammonites, Molech represented the male principal of life and reproduction, Ashtoreth represented the female principal of fertility. The chief Canaanite gods were Baal and Ashtoreth. Canaan was populated by a conglomeration of many immigrant peoples, along with many gods. So there was worship of all kinds, Molech being one of them. Without getting into much detail I will elaborate on Molech, He was a golden statue with horns on his head and a fire would burn on the inside of him then the Canaanites would sacrifice their children through the fire, this was known as “passing through the fire” Lev 18:20 Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbor’s wife, to defile thyself with her. Lev 18:21 And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD. The worship of Ashtoreth and Molech went hand in hand; it consisted of all sexual practices, fornication, adultery, bestiality, incest, sodomy, and most depraved kinds. Let us not forget witchcraft, sorcery, various occult practices. And of course the most heinous was the child sacrifice. The time came when the Israelites moved into this land they had a tendency to ignore the commandments of God and get caught up in the practices of the Canaanites, all at the same time of priding themselves as “God’s chosen people”
Now let’s look at the modern day Israelites, (yes that is us!! The church of Jesus Christ) You know I always try to really hear what the LORD is saying, and I always think how he sees everything and knows everything, we just sit and warm our padded little pews and sit minding our own business, not letting to many people know our affairs, we just go on in our deception, Thinking no one really sees!! Have we forgotten that GOD SEES EVERYTHING!!!! You know back in the days of the Canaanite worship, it had such a hold over time that the prophets and their messages eventually were totally rejected with the result of devastating judgement poured out upon the northern kingdom of Israel at about 721 BC and the southern kingdom of Judah at about 586 BC. In both cases the kingdoms were completely destroyed. Where do you think that leaves the US and all the other surrounding countries and so forth? Canaanite worship has been resurrected into modern day practices in the church of Jesus Christ! It amazes me when I talk to Christians about “sin” and how that theses things do go on in the church, they say I am judging!! Why do Christians have a hard time with repentance, recognizing sin, and calling a spade a spade!! Why is it there are some who justify the wrong that is going on by only seeing the good? Church it is high time we dealt with the secret sins and the open ones lest our God comes with judgement!! There is hope; there is mercy in a time of wrath!! Hab.3:2We have seen it all leaders falling ,and being exposed, adulterate affairs in the church, you think there is not fornication in the church of Jesus Christ? You think there is not adultery in the church of Jesus Christ? You think there has not been abortion in the church of Jesus Christ, not just in the church of Jesus Christ, but all the world and what the God of the universe sees, his cup is full with judgement!! And if we as the church of Jesus Christ do not get off our comfortable padded pews and PRAY!!!!! We are in for a moving of swift judgement. Some of you may think I am a bit fanatical or a bit extreme , but I stand in holy fear of what God tells me, I know my calling is that of a watchmen and my responsibility is to warn and the blood is off my hands.
Eze 33:1 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Eze 33:2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: Eze 33:3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; Eze 33:4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. Eze 33:5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. Eze 33:6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand. I am use to the word of the LORD being rejected in most cases, but that has not change in all of history, in less the word is petting the idols of the heart and sending comforting words the people do not want it!! I think our culture could probably teach the Canaanites a few things! The truth is we need to repent and ask the LORD to search our hearts, and see where we have sat idle to his ways and his concerns! The youth of our time are living lives that are not pleasing to the LORD and the sad thing is they are right in our churches!! When the LORD said to me “pray against Molech” after I did a bit of research I saw that it could pertain to abortion, it is the same god that is behind it but it also has a long list of other buddies that go with it as I stated earlier. The deception in the church is this, that if I go on Sundays and on weds day cell group, I am a good Christian, I watch TV to fill my time at night, because I need to relax, after all I deserve it but I do not watch anything really bad, I give and I work hard, but the deception is we have closed a blind eye to the state that the church is in and the world, and have occupied our time with other things , maybe of less value. We should be praying and standing in the gap! Now there are some reading this that can honestly say they are doing something about it, but there are always the majority saying they do not!!
God s heart has not changed, as he was then he is now he still requires his people to have only one God, the word for that is monotheism the doctrine that is but one, the Israelites did not do that they lived in a culture where they worshipped many gods! But God says Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Is it any different today? I think not! Even in the New Testament Paul was addressing the Corinth church about mixing, 2Cor 6:14-18 right and wrong do not mix in the standard of God, sin does not mix with the standard of God!! Look at the church again in Corith, 1 Cor 5:1-13 also 1Co 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 1Co 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
There is a mixture in the church and the LORD is seeing it all, He is warning her to change and let go of every idol that takes the place of Him! It is time NOW for the church to get right with Elohim! So where does the scripture come into play here 1 Kings 11 (representing the time I was awoken to) ? Please read the whole chapter in order for you to understand what I say. Here was Solomon the son of David, his heart was not perfect like David his father, he did evil in the sight of the LORD. 1Ki 11:4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father. 1Ki 11:5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. 1Ki 11:6 And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father. 1Ki 11:7 Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon. (When the LORD gave this portion of scripture to me I never knew it was going to talk about Molech, after I read it I said “ok LORD it does confirm what you said to me, but is that all? Is there anything else you want me to see? When I got to this part about the kingdom being torn away from him, it was this Lord spoke to me.
1Ki 11:11 Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.
As the kingdom was rent from Solomon so am I renting it from many today and giving it a people who will Love me with all there heart and all there soul and mind, who will not have any other gods before me, The violent will take it by force they will demonstrate true kingdom living in all holiness here and now!! Church there is a price to pay to serve the LORD we do not take lightly His judgement, with this teaching of greasy grace! He is a holy God, and he requires a holy people to live in accordance to His standard not the standard of the gods of this world and our flesh and our lusts!! The kingdom is within you! We live and move and have our being in Him!! Acts 17:28
There is also another man that did not line up with the standard of God, Manasseh, 2 Chron.33, but he did have a change of heart and tore down all the high places, glory to God!! There is hope for those who turn away from idolatry, God is merciful, but also God will not be mocked! The false gods of this world, sexual pleasures, lusts of all kinds, the list could go on are detestable (abomination) to God through out the bible, God said “completely destroy them” it was not only detestable but made defiled and degraded the people who practiced them Lev.18 :24-28 God is looking for a people like Josiah who will tear down the high places.
2Ch 34:1 Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem one and thirty years. 2Ch 34:2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the ways of David his father, and declined neither to the right hand, nor to the left. 2Ch 34:3 For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father: and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images. 2Ch 34:4 And they brake down the altars of Balaam in his presence; and the images, that were on high above them, he cut down; and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images, he brake in pieces, and made dust of them, and strowed it upon the graves of them that had sacrificed unto them. 2Ch 34:5 And he burnt the bones of the priests upon their altars, and cleansed Judah and Jerusalem. We need to be a people like Josiah; a generation will arise who have a heart after the holiness of the LORD!! They will not be of this world or will they tolerate false worshipping but they will separate themselves to the King of Kings and the LORD of LORDS. They will only have One God and will Love him with all there heart and soul and mind! Scripture: Deut. 20:17-18 ;Gen. 15:16; 2 Kings 21:11; Ezra 9:1; 1 Kings11:5-7; 1 Kings 14:24; 2Kings 16:3; 23:13 ;2 Chron.36:14 1 Cor 5 ; 6:12-20 Rom 1:18-32 and chapter 2
Let this be our final declaration Jos 24:14 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. Jos 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
